About U.S.S.

Urban Studio Sessions loosely formed in 2015 to engage children and young people in Urban Sports and Arts. As we had identified a gap in urban sports provision and art related workshops in London, which reduced barriers to a popular ever growing sporting discipline, which debuted at the Tokyo Olympic games 2020.

Initial support from Wandsworth Council in 2015 enabled us to provide arts and sports intervention across the Wandsworth borough enabling us to engage with a variety of children and young people including new communities to increase their integration into UK culture. Through their Wandsworth Grant Fund.

We became a constituted (not for profit) organisation in 2018 and governed by active members who steer the charitable objectives of the organisation and tutors. We have successfully delivered pop-up skate parks events in Wandsworth, which were free at the point of use. Our events enabled families from economically deprived areas in the borough to engage in skateboarding, in line skating and varying arts.

As we have progressed, Urban Studio Sessions are continually educating both parents and adults regarding the positive impact of urban sports which includes increased fitness, health, social and psychological benefits. We have identified measured improvements in behaviour, focus and wellbeing in children and young people in mainstream education and alternative education provision.

Now as a registered C.I.C. We continue to offer a comprehensive schedule which includes half term camps for children aged 5+ and weekly inline skating and skateboarding sessions aimed at children and adults, after school clubs. All our instructors are qualified and we are insured and have been teaching in the industry for a number of years.
